“ Vegan/ dairy free gluten free Indian curries here: -Aloo Matar (potato and peas) -Channa Masala (chickpeas) -Aloo Gobhi (potato and cauliflower) South Indian Fish Curry is dairy free and gluten free. What I ordered! Loved it. A good amount of fish (some kind of white fish I think), maybe like 4-5 oz portion. Really enjoyed the flavor, lots of dimension. Would I go back? Yes! The food was So tasty! It had a quiet, relaxed vibe when I went (Sunday dinner) and the servers are really nice. They helped me go through the menu to find something that was safe to eat without gluten and dairy! ”
“ LOVED this place!!! We had not eaten Indian food in three years that we moved from San Francisco to here. So glad someone recommended us because it was soooo delicious! Will definitely come again! Our favorites were the veggie Samosa, Butter chicken and mango lassi! Decor was cute! And the staff was friendly. ”
“ Very authentic. Excellent service and food arrived piping hot. Biryani (lamb) was excellent. As was the tandoori chicken. Chicken tiki masala was also very good. The naan was my least favorite as I’ve had better. ”
“ Our first time here, we were very impressed with how fresh everything was, including the herbs and spices. We ordered a couple of appetizers (samosa chart and Gobi Munchurian). The samosa was flakey and fresher than any other samosa I have had. The Gobi Munchurian was good for fried cauliflower and was similar in texture orange chicken. We also ordered Tandoori shrimp, which was flavorful, juice, and tender with some slight charing (really good. ) The Chana masala, bhindi masala, and Dal Makhani were all done to perfection. The basamati rise had whole cardamom seeds and cloves, which is a style I like. We also ordered the garlic Naan, and it seemed like it was made in-house. We took most of this home and enjoyed the leftovers for dinner. I need to eat here more to see if this is consistent. They are off to a great start. ”
“ Food was great we tried a lot of things to share! Best Indian spot in Vancouver - so glad to finally have great Indian food! Lovely people working. Kind, friendly. They are still newly opened so I think working out some service kinks, could be a little faster or more attentive to tables. But that comes with some time and I am a NY’er . It’s a must try place! ”
“ Prepare to have your taste buds tantalized!! The Indian food here was full of flavor and the service wonderful. My friend got deep-fried cheese balls in a gravy while I enjoyed the Lamb Rogan Josh! She said hers could have been more spicy so they brought out more spices for her to add. I got to taste some of hers and thought it was too spicy to begin with, but she enjoyed it. I loved my unique choice with the Lamb Josh Rogan (medium spice). The lamb was so tender and the flavor so so good. We shared an assorted basket of naan (16 pieces - plenty to take home). The garlic naan was incredible and hands down my favorite of the 4 kinds. They kindly offered us a Gulab Jamun for dessert when they found out she was treating me for my birthday. The restroom was clean and even had a changing table. The location is off Gher Rd just off the 500. The parking lot is a bit funky on a slope and crowded if the restaurant was full, but unfortunately, there were only 4 other parties the entire time we were there for lunch on a weekday. What a pity! People are certainly missing out. ”
“ Absolutely fantastic Indian food, with a wide selection of dishes and plenty of vegetarian options. I order take-out from this place at least once per month. I’m a huge fan of their chicken vindaloo, which I usually order with naan, raita and mint chutney. Channa Masala and veggie samosas are great too. I always ask them for *very spicy* and they typically serve it somewhat milder than my preference, probably assuming that I can’t handle the heat because I’m Caucasian, lol. The location itself was obviously a Mexican restaurant before they moved in, the entire building seems to have been purpose built as a Mexican place so the atmosphere almost comically mis-matches the cuisine here, but look past that - the food makes it worth it! The service is friendly too, one of the servers told me that the name of the restaurant loosely translates to “love” - which I thought was nice. Food made with love always tastes better! ”
“ This place has been all the rave on the Dining the Couve FB group I’m in and it did NOT disappoint. Every dish we had was absolutely fantastic. From the family size basket of assorted Naan (the Garlic Naan is a MUST), to the Tandoori Shrimp, Veggie and Lamb Samosas... all amazing. Then. there were the curries! If you love great Indian Curry, the four of us can vouch for the three we tried. We had Dal Makhani, Nilgiri Chicken, and my favorite, Palak Paneer... all of them just outstanding. We will be returning any chance we get. ”
